Active Voice Fellow
-
Aug 2016 - May 2017
Designed and executed a project aimed at helping high school female journalists find their voices. My project focused on fighting censorship in schools by collecting stories from advisers and principals at schools that allowed their student publications to operate as a free press and using that information to create a toolkit for others wishing to implement the same kind of relationship in their own schools. Additionally, I presented at various national and local conferences, and helped with the New Voices legislation in Indiana.
