As a peer mentor for William and Mary Connects, I was charged with the responsibility of meeting with students that had a temporary lapse of judgment and made a poor decision. This program is intended to make these students feel like they still belong on campus despite their mistake. I essentially acted as a mentor and peer to these students. This program has been great to reintroduce at-risk and suspended students back into the campus culture. Through William and Mary Connects, I was able to guide troubled students on and off the William and Mary campus.

As an intern, I aided in the daily functions of the Dean of Students Office. For example, I put together the budget for the Undergraduate Student Conduct Council, training schedules for student organizations, and much more. Through this experience, I gained connections in interrelated departments at the College, such as the Haven and the Student Diversity Office. I learned even more about the conduct process at the College through this experience.

As the co-committee chair, I led the movement to prevent an increase in the number of DUIs at the College of William and Mary.
