Intern | Event Crew
-
May 2017 - Jul 2018
I started as an Intern and was offered a part-time position as part of their Event Crew. My job included providing project management and hands-on assistance for multiple events and weddings. Many times, I oversaw 10+ staff and ensured that everyone on the event crew had enough information to produce flawless events. A few accomplishments:I made the processes more efficient. To do this, I developed templates and checklists so that everyone had detailed information and we did not have to re-create the wheel. After the project manager left the company unexpectedly, I jumped in to assess what needed to be done and led the event crews through their assignments for each event. I really enjoyed this challenge and received acknowledgements from my supervisor, guests, and coworkers.

Manager (2013-2018) | Waitress/Expo (2011-2013) | Hostess (2009-2011)
-
Jul 2009 - Jul 2018
I have worked at Cornerstone for 9 years and received several promotions from hostess to restaurant manager (All while attending college!)As manager, I oversee the hiring, training, and scheduling of 40+ staff. I balance the register, maintain the inventory and order supplies. If anyone wants to schedule an event in our private dining area, I coordinate with the customers and kitchen staff.I am particular proud that I have developed my own “fan club.” Besides many compliments, some of the customers choose to wait longer because they want a table in my section.
