I worked closely with Maia when she led our Asiapacforce ERG, I am an Executive Advisor to that team. I found Maia to be a thoughtful and inclusive leader, very passionate about the mission and goals of the group - and willing to collaborate with all stakeholders to get to the right outcome. On a personal note, Maia was also a delight to work with!

I had the absolute honor and joy of working with Maia in her role as president of Salesforce's Asian and Pacific Islander employee resource group, Asiapacforce. Being president during Maia's tenure was no easy feat. She bravely and boldly pivoted all programming when COVID-19 rendered in-person celebrations impossible by engaging multiple teams to pull together streams on important conversations about a variety of topics. She spearheaded a co-branded "Phenomenally Asian" campaign in collaboration with a small, local, woman of color owned business that reached thousands of employees and empowered them to be proud to be #PhenomenallyAsian in the wake of anti-Asian and xenophobic racism throughout the world. She brought in external experts like Jane Hyun to talk about "breaking the Bamboo Ceiling" to enable career advancement for Asians in the workforce, as well as multiple conversations around xenophobia in COVID-19. She also led a large global team of fantastic leaders who she coached, empowered, and supported whenever they needed. She's also a great interviewer - Maia was one of the presidents who interviewed me for the ERG manager role, and I had an awesome experience learning from her and being asked difficult questions that expanded by understanding of the realities of the job. In short, Maia is fearless, thoughtful, and determined. She would be an asset to any company, and I gladly endorse her for both roles in her traditional area of expertise, and in any diversity & inclusion role she may apply for.
