Manager – Distribution - Joined the organization from inception and managed inventory worth INR 120 Cr at national level, with a team of 26 people including 6 direct reports - Led Inventory accounting in IT enabled systems for 5 business lines viz Home care, cosmetics, nutrition & wellness, personal care, catalogue & co branded products for 2000+ SKUs - Integrated supply chain inventory information & physical distribution activities with manufacturing planning & control system by DRP (distribution requirement planning) ensuring 100% control over inventory - Established RMW operations for 90,000 sq. feet area in a span of 2 months - Recommended liquidation of damaged stocks, as a member of quality improvement team (QIT) which helped in generating revenue for the organization - Oversaw 5 manufacturing units, vendors, 1 national distribution centre, 4 RMWs and 94 locations using ERP system, to ensure timely movement of material across country - Delivered savings of INR 30 lakhs per month through various cost effective strategies in vendor management including localization - Brought down inventory to 90 days in FY 2008 as against 136 days in FY 2006 and ensuring timely delivery as per monthly sales and operations plan - Reduced damages of total inventory value to 1.25% from 4% in FY06 by implementing best practices viz.
