Meredith is a treat to work with. Her intelligence and easy manner are very conducive to the creative process. I worked with Meredith while at Best Lawyers where she was the Director of Publications and Creative Services and I was the Senior IT Manager. A large part of my role is leading a software engineering team that supported all products and services for Best Lawyers. We worked with Meredith and her team of creatives on many software engineering projects primarily around the online publishing aspects of our website, print publications and electronic media products. Meredith is a great person and any organization would be lucky to have her on their team due to her excellent skill set, tenacity and ability to lead creatively.

    • Custom Publications Manager
      • Jun 2013 - Dec 2013

Meredith's responsibilities included the daily management of all aspects of the print and digital workflow of 40 regional custom content marketing publications printed as stand-alone supplements and inserted into major newspapers nationwide. This included managing the ad trafficking department, the art and design team, and a staff of freelance writers and copy editors. She coordinated the newspaper distribution, including negotiating insertion rates, determining zip code and demographic distribution, and sourced freelance photographers in every major U.S. market to schedule and deliver high-quality, topical cover and advertorial imagery.During this time Meredith invested a significant amount of energy into growing the brand's editorial presence, including art directing the editorial and advertorial "rebranding" of the custom magazines and contributing our edit to our website's online "Articles" blog. In addition to copy editing, fact-checking, and proofreading all editorial and advertising copy, she launched the "30-year" editorial initiative within the magazine, celebrating the company's 30 years of publication with a dedicated page in each regional edition featuring up to three Q&As with lawyers listed consecutively for 30 years. She also expanded the "Lawyer of the Year" editorial section to include a broader and more diverse range of attorneys and practice areas profiled; this section was also monetized as sponsored content. Finally, she established a digital and print company style guide for consistency. Importantly, she launched "The Legal Issue," Best Lawyers' first-ever long-form journalism magazine dedicated to national legal issues in conjunction with U.S. News. She contributed editorial ideas, oversaw the art direction, editorial placement, and advertising strategy, and produced the digital edition of this direct mail publication. Show less

    • Production Manager
      • Nov 2011 - Jun 2013

In 2011, Best Lawyers terminated its contract with one of the nation's leading legal publishers in order to produce its profitable custom publications series in-house. Equipped with just a sales director and three additional sales staff, Meredith came on board as the person to "do the rest." She was responsible for vendor sourcing, building an internal production schedule and workflow, advertising trafficking, and as a result developed strong client relations skills. She worked on securing international distribution contracts with online newspapers and successfully booked deals with Ukrainian, Russian, and Czech news outlets. Show less
