This position was for graduate school practicum field work. I worked under the direction of the NCAR archivist. I processed two collections, the Design and Fabrication Services Records Collection and the Spark UCAR Science Education Collection. I arranged the materials according to functional and/or original order, and created the finding aids following DACS Standards in ArchivesSpace. I also practiced archival preservation techniques such as flattening oversize documents, and rehousing materials in acid-free boxes, file folders, and sleeves.

I digitized and created derivative files for preservation and web access from the library's American Music Research Center, Special Collections, and Archives, which included portions of the Don Campbell Papers. Library materials included photographs, maps, personal correspondence, theses and dissertations, and business directories. I also applied OCR software to newly digitized documents. Software used: Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Abbyy FineReader, and Lightroom. Hardware used: Bookeye scanner and Epson Expression 11000XL photo scanner.
