Assistant Professor: Was responsible for general conversation classes for freshmen sophomores, juniors, and seniors at the beginner elementary, pre-intermediate and intermediate levels.Taught essay and formal letter writing to Sophomore students.Essays dealt mostly with character descriptions from movies as well as books. Worked with graded readers in class to introduce different styles and some classical literature to the students. Formal letters dealt mostly with study abroad application letters and cover letters for job applications. Instructor for interview and resume class. Instructed students in the necessary skills of designing a resume and how to succeed in an all English job interview. I have taught sophomore economics class in the Economics Department at Dongguk University. I have experience as an economics professor and I have used plenty of self generated materials, a text book and the Internet. Focused mainly on financial economics. Not teaching theory as much as I am focused on speaking ability and team work. Worked with different levels of English speakers(Freshman-Sophomore-Junior-Senior). Worked teaching a professor's clinic. This required being able to adapt the class to each professor's wants and needs. Participated as a teacher in the TOEIC winter and summer camps. Taught make up classes during winter for students to make up a grade or repeat a course. I have worked with the Office of International Affairs conducting interviews of candidates who had applied for professor jobs. I served as team leader for the teachers of the lowest level of sophomore students. Served as a preliminary judge for a speech competition in Gyeongju and served as a mentor to students three different years.
