As the head of technology for First American, I hired Randy Dalton to manage the networks and technology. This was a stretch role for Randy who was coming over from a different department. I have to say he exceeded expectations and blossomed in the role. His initiative, determination and love for the work all contributed to his being successful.

Manage a team of Project Managers responsible for the design and deployment of all Kiewit jobsite mobilizations in Central and Eastern Time zones of the United States. My team is also responsible for IT estimating of jobsite costs as well. Currently my team is responsible for mobilizing $6.2 B in construction work. My staff of Area Logistics Coordinators/Managers plan and implement WAN circuits, design networks and coordinate the efforts of the District, Kiewit Operations and Project Teams to get sites mobilized on time and under budget. My team is responsible for the demobilization of jobsites as well. I am responsible for overseas projects in Spain and Australia as well. Design and implementation of self-contained “network in a box” as well as a cloud based computing solution. Both are designed to be modular and scalable to the high variation of Kiewit jobsites. The cloud based solution is estimated to save about $15 million per year. Over the last year, I have completed several Kiewit District Office expansions on schedule and under budget. I am currently developing a third-party Depot Facility for the construction, asset management and deployment of modular “Network in a Box” units for Kiewit jobsites. This will move Kiewit from a purchase model to a rental model for future networking equipment procurement.
