  I volunteer as a research assistant within the psychology department in Leeds Beckett University, working alongside lecturers and researchers on projects relating to sexual bullying, and sex and relationship education. This role has given me a good understanding of qualitative research methods. My responsibilities include transcription of interviews and focus groups, data input, and referencing according to APA guidelines, often using Endnote software.   I worked part-time at a busy coffee bar located at Cambridge train station during the summer months. My responsibilities inculded making and serving drinks and food for many customers often under fast-paced and busy condidtions, general cleaning and presentation duties, and sometimes helping with organisation and stock-counting. This role enabled me to continue to develop communication and interpersonal skills both with customers and others working alongside me. The busy environment and added pressure of responsibility of 3 coffee bars at one location also helped me to develop teamwork skills which were needed to ensure the smooth running of the businesss.
