      Magna Mirror Systems was founded in 1994 and expanded through the acquisition of Donnelly Corporation in 2002. Today, Magna Mirrors is a global tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry and one of the largest producers of automotive mirror and vision systems.As the sole Supplier Quality Engineer for the Holland Mirrors division, I was responsible for a variety of purchased commodities: PCBA, plastic injection molding, zinc & aluminum die casting, glass, metal stampings, wire harnesses,… Magna Mirror Systems was founded in 1994 and expanded through the acquisition of Donnelly Corporation in 2002. Today, Magna Mirrors is a global tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry and one of the largest producers of automotive mirror and vision systems.As the sole Supplier Quality Engineer for the Holland Mirrors division, I was responsible for a variety of purchased commodities: PCBA, plastic injection molding, zinc & aluminum die casting, glass, metal stampings, wire harnesses, keypads, paint, adhesives, and more. My main responsibility was to manage the part quality from 100+ global suppliers of the Holland Mirrors Division, which included but was not limited to:• Requested, reviewed, and approved supplier PPAPs per AIAG standards. I reviewed/approved over 150 initial submissions and 220 engineering changes• Managed the APQP process for suppliers during the new product launch phase. No program timelines were compromised due to supplier readiness. This includes the following OEM programs: Chrysler JL & DT, BMW G0X & G2X, and Mercedes ASP 1.1, 2.1, & 3.1• Aid in design and approval of supplier gages.• Created and implemented Magna Holland Mirrors' Supplier Development process.• Providing support by evaluating potential Magna suppliers: performing audits, reporting results, and follow through on open actions. • Supporting Operations and Plant Quality by Issuing of DCARs and ensuring proper closure through validation of Supplier 8D's, Corrective Action Reports, 5-why analysis, and Ishikawa diagrams.
