Bio
Greta Pepler
Roberta Gogos: mentor, marketing maven and patron saint of strays. In 2021, Roberta took a chance and invited me onto her superhero marketing squad. What a privilege it was, working with her. Oftentimes you'll hear people talk about 'this one teacher' they had growing up - the teacher who inspired and encouraged and challenged them, and set them on their course. A Yoda or a Mr. Miyagi or a Fairy Godmother. This is how I think of Roberta. Her patience, tenacity and wisdom have meant so much to me. I look back fondly on the standups that felt like our own podcast, stories about her 800 cats, her wicked sense of humour, and being called "mate" in a non-ironic way by an actual Australian. I wrote a haiku about our wonderful team's wonderful times: The path that we walked Me and my marketing mates It was terrific

As someone who works in Comms, I tend to float between departments, supporting the mission at hand. But over the past nine months I've had the pleasure of working directly with Roberta and her team. I'm no marketing professional, but I've learned a huge amount from her years of experience in both the eLearning & marketing sectors (continuously learning and all that!) Roberta has helped steer Fuse through the pandemic era - forging strong relationships with industry experts like Fosway & Craig Weiss, shaping our brand identity, values and beliefs, gaining external recognition from the likes of eLearning Industry & Training Industry, growing the pipeline through a steady drumbeat of content, events & media activities. But away from work, Roberta is an amazing human - one of the good guys. She's an Aussie who lived in Greece but recently moved her life to the rainforest of Brazil, where she continues to rehome and care for stray animals. I can barely look after myself, so to care for 21 stray cats and dogs blows my mind. Kudos, Roberta :)
