• Associate Director for Student Affairs Assessment, Evaluation, & Research

  • Consult with staff from over 30 Student Affairs departments to develop and implement program & service evaluations to 1) inform decisions (e.g., improvements to service delivery, budget) and 2) demonstrate student success, learning, and development. • Manage all survey projects for the Division of Student Affairs, including reviewing survey instruments to follow best practices, supporting the administration process, and collaborating on the use and interpretation of results. • Conduct in-depth analyses; create and maintain dashboards/reports utilizing a variety of platforms (especially Tableau & Qualtrics). • Provide coordination and/or support for large-scale and institutional surveys. Coordinate with national research organizations and manage Institutional Review Board application process as applicable. Highlighted projects include campus climate surveys and information on graduating students used for national ranking of institutions.• Served as interim director for 6 months.• Develop departmental procedures for the access and use of data and software that ensure compliance with University policy, state and federal laws, and ethical practice.• Lead experiential training on assessment-related topics and data management software for Student Affairs staff and master’s students. • Supervise from one to three staff in the department, including analysts and student staff. • Led the transition from Campus Labs to Qualtrics as the survey software for Student Affairs and other institutional departments, including deciding software specifications.• Co-chaired Student Leadership and Employment Task Force. • Serve on various committees and working groups throughout the Division of Student Affairs and the University of Utah, along with chairing search committees as needed. • Present at regional and national conferences in collaboration with other offices and colleges to further the profession of assessment in student affairs and higher education.
