Its participation was a landmark in the history of the competition since it was the first Greek team to participate since its launch in 1998.This year’s goal is to make robots build a better city. The robots mission consists of:•Using building blocks (colored cubes) to build towers according to the plan.•Collecting water (colored balls) and dispatching it in a water tower of a waste treatment area depending on its quality.•Activate an exclusively electrical domotic panel.•Activate an exclusively mechanical bee that will forage a flower.•Estimate the score achieved by the robots.

Competition:• World Robot Olympiad Greece (WRO 2017, Athens)Rewind to 2017, team won 3rd place. My first experience as a member of a robotics team was a very smart decision with disastrous results, many failures and amateurish mistakes. This baptism of fire was an advantage for years to come. The challenge was to build a robot that can score as many points as possible in a robot version of the Tetris® game called Tetrastack. The robot would detect, identify and stack interlocking colored shapes called tetracubes within the Stacking Form – a rectangular upright box.

    • Innovation Engineer
      • Nov 2016 - Oct 2018

My responsibility is to develop our Innovation Project. Our Technological Innovation Project will focus on the assistance of young riders who are just beginning to learn how to ride racing type motorcycles. Our model will be launched with an optional “Rider’s Assistant Kit”, which will consist of a detachable microcontroller board and a specially designed smartphone application. Through alerts and notifications, the driving experience will be completely elevated to a safer and a less overwhelming one. Furthermore, with our innovative system, users will no longer need professional trainers to the extend they normally would. The rider’s smartphone will be fitted onto the motorcycle to help him/her adjust the motorcycle accordingly and provide real time information during practice on the track. Additionally, the rider will be able to review this data, after the session. Our application will be a real problem-solver both for those who had identified the need for such a solution but also for those who didn’t know they needed this kind of assistance in the first place. Most importantly though, it will help the rider improve himself/herself and provide a wonderful feeling of self-confidence and satisfaction. Several features will be included to make the whole experience an unforgettable one, making sure that the rider keeps moving forward.
