Debra is above all open-minded and ready to work in collaboration which is something I loved about her. She always found a way to make me feet very encouraged and supported throughout the course and I would not hesitate to ever ask for help form her in the future!

I have known Debra Alexander for over 10 years now, getting to know her through mutual friends in the Toronto singer songwriter scene. I was already a fan of Debra’s songwriting as she had written songs on Suzie Vinnick and David Leask recordings that I really adored. As I got to know Debra I found her to be a very warm and caring person with a tremendous skill at crafting lyrics. During the time I have known her, I have also come to appreciate her ability to coach songwriting and workshop a lyric. Debra and I co-coached the 2015 SAC Song challenge and I got to see, first hand how well she was able to work with the songwriters and help them with their songs. I have determined that Debra is presently Canada’s leading authority on the craft of lyric writing and certainly possesses a world class ability to coach songwriting. I enthusiastically recommend Debra as a mentor and coach to any songwriter wanting to be great.
