I had the pleasure of working under Kara, and I can confidently say that she is one of the best leaders I have seen. Her ability to instill confidence and belief into everyone she works with, and bring out the best in them, is a rare skill. Kara knew when to give her team independence and ownership, but also step in and guide as needed. She fostered a very positive work culture by keeping great relationships cross-functionally, and also constantly supporting and advocating for her team. Her leadership style was a perfect balance of support, strength and goal-oriented, and both myself and the organization benefitted greatly from her. Kara also has a unique ability to quickly pick up and lead new projects and initiatives, even if it does not fall into her domain or expertise. Her adaptability and willingness to get things done is something I have embraced significantly, and it has paid dividends. Kara has had a huge impact on my professional growth, and is a massive reason I've followed the career path that I'm currently on (and love). It was a privilege to work under her guidance.
