2003 - Dance UK on PS1 (UK # 1): Gameplay and data programmer in C++ on the PS1. I learned how clear descision making is essential in good game development. 2004 - Move2Play on PS2: This Eye-toy game was developed to alpha standard, but never went any further owing to poor initial design. Writing the control system for a seagull still brings back fond memories. 2004 and 2005 - Mtv Dance / Dance Factory on PS2 : I was used as a firefighter twice on this project in all roles. 2004 - Toy Tanks on PSP : I XP/Pair programmed the AI and UI code on this demo. I integrated Lua into the company game engine. 2005 - Greg Hastings Tournament PaintBall on PS2 : A port from the XBOX. I encapsulated PS2 TCP/IP and GameSpy Arcade inside my own XBL compatable framework. 2005 - Quest Games on PC and PS2 : The first releases on the engine I helped birth. I wrote the level editing and scripting systems. 2006 - Baja Mania on PS2 : I customised the Quest Games tool chain to provide track design tools, and ported in the vehicular physics from another engine, that I then optimised aggressively. 2007 - Mettle on PC : This was to be an online kills for cash game. I wrote the cash/kill log and report software, security and encryption for the client app, and wrote a sound / animation synchronisation tool for the character toolchain. 2007 - PopStar Guitar on Wii : Pre-production research and prototype editor work, MIDI load and save libraries, guitar controller interface and input handling. 2008 - Dance Party Pop & Club on Wii (UK#36): A port from the Dance UK PS2 code. I lead the small team through a tight schedule for this budget title. 2008 - Thomas & Friends : Hero Of The Rails on Wii and PC. I'm Lead Coder and Project Lead for this project. We worked hard and fast to implement the demands of a very stern IP holder. I built the track editor, and the scripting system. This project survives the liquidation of Broadsword in the hands of my very capable team. Show less

I built E-Commerce websites designed to deploy to WAP phones as well as the web. I worked in a morass of HTML, XML, Perl, Javascript and PHP trying to connect and use fledgling technologies in the face of there being no decent WAP phones available at the time. • Computer Repair Technician
      • Jan 1994 - Jan 1997

I designed, built, repaired and maintained computer systems and network installations for both members of the public and the private business sector. The diversity of systems I worked on meant I as often had a soldering iron and a hammer to hand as a windows install disc.
