I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Joseph as part of the SDSM&T Engineering Accelerator Boot Camp. Joseph is creating the overall Accelerator process for the first time in conjunction with the excellent directors of the Enterprise Institute. Together, they were able to gather a great set of experienced business experts to provide intensive immersion into the key business concepts, skills, and resources available to successfully launch a new venture commercializing the technology being developed by students and faculty at SDSM&T. This was a very successful first iteration of what will hopefully be an ongoing process of identifying and grooming high-growth potential new ventures to more fully leverage the ability of the technical knowledge and talent pool connected to the university to stimulate economic growth in the region. I was very happy to participate and have only positive things to say about the overall experience and my interactions with Joseph and the other staff, students, and faculty at SDSM&T.
