Telecommunications technical work in the World Cup 2018 in Russia. Work with the telecommunication system of the wireless cameras at Luzhniki, Spartak (Moscow) and Volgograd stadiums. The work during the FWC 2018 was focused on: - Coordination of the installation of antennas and decoders for the signal in the stadiums - Configuration and testing of the wireless system in the work areas - Managing support team throughout the implementation and during matches Detailed tasks: - Manage the wireless frequencies licensing in the event country (Russia) for the events. Review licensing contracts and its coverage with the legal department. - Work with the TV broadcaster to define the wireless cameramen location: at the pitch sides, between the bleachers, in the stadiums’ surroundings, etc. - Study of the possible places for the antennas in the stadiums, analyzing the LOS (line of sight) of every spot. Decide the final places. - Fixed and mobile antennas testing in the work areas. - Check the quality of the signal encoding and decoding, reporting bugs to the engineers’ team in Paris. Verify the software upgrades. - During the live soccer matches, assistance technicians’ coordination.
