Model development and application of optimization methods to achieve the operation of the power system. The wind power production is consider and their deviation is compensated by an hydro-pump unit. The model was obtained from real data of wind farm and the optimization problem considers the non linear characteristics of the power system. These implementations were done using Matlab and GNU R.
