I maintained basic cashier duties, such as ringing up sales, bagging items, cleaning, and assisting customers. I also trained new employees in both the basics of their jobs through videos and extensive hands-on training, keeping track of each trainee's progress throughout. I designed a website, Facebook page, and Instagram page to showcase and advertise my work, take orders, and answer any questions when I was just 13 years old. I designed each paddle based on customer requests with their personal sorority/fraternity information, such as the season and year they pledged. Throughout the design process, I effectively communicated with the customer design ideas for the paddle(s), pricing, shipping cost and dates, etc. Unfortunately once school and extracurriculars began to take up more of my time, I could no longer keep up with the demand of the business and stopped making paddles.
