On securing a data analytics/Geology internship, I assumed responsibility for analysing and interpreting data collated to build thermal maturity models relating to the shale gas exploration process. I analysed 30 samples in total and subsequently defined potential shale gas in the US. I was also involved in a key industry conference to provide any ad hoc support on the day.
