Intern

Feb 2019 - Jan 2020
I completed my internship at one of the busiest public hospitals in Pakistan, it has 2,075 beds and receives around 5,000 outpatient visits per day. It is affiliated with the King Edward Medical University. My rotations were in Medicine, Surgery, Radiology and Ophthalmology. I was able to demonstrate competency in minor surgical procedures, assist in major surgeries, review and provision of a range of imaging, pleural taps, ascitic taps, lumbar punctures, urinary catheters and nasogastric tubes, eye examination and minor ophthalmic procedures. During my internship, I designed a clinical trial during Ophthalmology rotation titled "Effectiveness and Safety of 0.01% and 0.1% Atropine drops in the treatment of Myopia". For this, I was awarded finalist for the best intern in Ophthalmology and General Surgery. Show less
