Chrystal Haynes Singleton
Amy was the forerunner of the literacy badges that our library offered to students and patrons. She created the online program to teach students about the credibility, accuracy, and timeliness of sources and how to best use them. Amy's innovative idea helped many students with their educational growth and needs.
Jeanetta Burnham
During the time I spent working with Amy at the Richland College Library, she was a leader in implementing a number of e-learning strategies. One of her projects was creating an electronic badge program for our series of three information literacy classes. As an early adopter of the electronic badge technology, she was able to encourage a number of instructors to utilize the badge system she created in their own classes. Amy also created an MLA format tutorial that was widely used on campus and created various other online tutorials to teach information literacy skills. If you’re looking for someone experienced in e learning technologies and passionate about making distance education engaging, Amy is your person!
