Adventure Club has been my brain child ever since I started sewing backpacks. While the past brands I have started have been stunted by my capacity to make all of the products by hand, I am planning to go big with ACLUB. I am continually looking into manufacturing options to make my cool bags. Everything is designed my me with my sewing machine in my apartment! Ambassador

I was the first and only male Ambassador for the Women in Entrepreneurship Club at BYU. I helped to promote the club's events each month, and strove to show support to all of the different women in their business pursuits. I believe women have a lot to contribute in business, and loved being a part of this wonderful organization. I was the first and only male Ambassador for the Women in Entrepreneurship Club at BYU. I started learning Chinese during my first semester at BYU. One day I was at the Asian Market buying sushi ingredients for a get together with friends and I struck up a conversation with the cashier. As fate would have it the owner was at the next register over and picked up on our conversation. I mentioned that I was a student at BYU studying business and that I was also learning Chinese. The owner offered me a job on the spot promising that I would learn Chinese really fast if I worked for her. I thought it sounded like fun, and two days later I was stocking the shelves. I learned so much about business while working at the Provo Asian Market. I was promoted from Sales Representative to Supervisor pretty quickly. Some of the cooler things I did were: manage the cash register information system using SQL, create a more efficient inventory maintenance system, and build relationships with my Chinese speaking co-workers. Volunteer Bicycle Mechanic

I commute to school on my bike almost everyday. I started volunteering at the Bicycle Collective as a mechanic for kids bikes. The Collective takes donated kids bikes and fixes them up to be given to people in need. Due to time constraints, I haven't been able to volunteer in a long time, but I still love the mission of the Collective and want to start volunteering again. During my senior year of high school I took up the hobby of sewing. After lots of trial and error, I was making t-shirts, jackets, and ponchos with my mom's sewing machine. In need of an upgrade I got a new sewing machine for Christmas (one of my prized possessions). Friends at school always loved my stuff so I started a new Instagram. On occasion I would sew a handful of fanny packs and sell them on my story, but after doing some math, I realized I wasn't making much money per hour, and so I stopped business. I still get comments on some of the items I've made that I wear around school. Show less

When I was a sophomore in high school I started my own t-shirt company. I designed all of the t-shirts on my iPad, ran a Shopify website, and marketed everything on Instagram. This was my first introduction to business. I drop shipped everything through Printful in order to minimize inventory and allow for a larger selection of t-shirts. After two months, I realized how hard creating a brand can be. After a competitor with the trade mark "Tiger Apparel" DM'ed me on Instagram threatening a cease and desist, I took the opportunity to stop business before my Shopify subscription would eat up my profits. Clearly my silly high school t-shirt company was getting attention ;) I still where a handful of t-shirts from Tiger Apparel. Show less
