  The Sharps Pixley name goes back to 1778 and was originally founded through the merger of two London bullion businesses. Sharps Pixley was formerly a central player in the London gold and silver bullion broking community as an original gold fixing member and chairman of the silver fix.Today the business sits within the DEGUSSA group, said to be one of the largest sellers of retail physical gold in Europe.I gained a good understanding of certain research techniques and business modelling, becoming efficient at Microsoft Excel. During my second internship I carried out extensive research of the gold, silver and platinum markets by analysing historical figures and I was required to upload real-time news to the company website. This improved my IT skills, attention to detail, and efficiency, as I had to source all relevant news within as short a time frame as possible.

I also worked on the social media and marketing side of the company, which gave me an insight into running campaigns and managing accounts.
