  Working on a Functional-style Java 8/RXJava/Kotlin Spring Boot REST JSON:API microservice which underpins the web and native apps for Kingfisher’s operating companies. This service is the first point of interaction for the vast majority of API interactions from these frontends. SAFe agile processes followed, including pair programming, with Jira and Git used. Cucumber, Ruby and Sinatra used for integration testing and Behavour Driven Development. Gatling used for load testing. Contributed to architectural and design decisions in addition to writing code. Heavily involved with the infrastructure hosting and upholding the microservice, with experience working with Terraform, Groovy-based Jenkins, AWS Lambda, EC2, Elasticache/Redis and Gradle.
