Full time job. As the technologist within the team of Research & Development I support the various production facilities with process technology issues when necessary. I give guidance at all sites, so I know what is going on and where the opportunities lie regarding optimization and development. From the headquarters I develop more efficient production methods and processes, and I have this tested at pilot scale. Successful outcomes are further developed, scaled up and implemented in the production.I also work on the reprocessing of raw materials to new, high-quality materials and on recipe development through the implementation of these reprocessed materials in the formulation of the final products. Full time internship. Gypsum formation in the cooling towers lead to high cleaning costs and production losses. During my internship I worked on possible solutions for this problem. To achieve this I worked together with multiple departments within Nyrstar, among others; production, reliability engineering and project engineering. After multiple tests a solution was found which is being implemented at the moment.
