    • Managing Director
      • Jul 2016 - Jul 2017

      • After having a keen interest in motorbikes and dirt bikes I noticed there was a niche’ in the market for South-East Queensland that being there was no tour guide operations that allowed rental of dirt bikes without an over the top margin in price. Once this idea was formed my role was to find insurance, find money, build an entire marketing ploy, develop and build relationships with companies to aid me in growing this business from web designs to hotels and mobile motorbike mechanics. • With the help I received from other companies Queensland Dirt Bike Tours handled 4 successful tours, from day trips to a multi-day trips from Brisbane to Texas or from Brisbane to Fraser island, both of which were returned to the starting location • Managing risk was a big factor, using risk assessments, emergency evacuation plans and being in direct consultation with paramedics in-case a serious accident did happen. • Having to fix motorbikes while on tour became a regular occurrence, as well as having to ensure motorbikes worked with the limited resources available on tour became a must. • Warehouse Manager
      • Mar 2016 - Jul 2017

      • My initial position within this company was as a General Warehouse Assistant, however I quickly attained the role of Queensland Warehouse Manager due to my outstanding performance, previous experience and the rapid growth of the company where Be Cool Couriers Queensland acquired contracts for Hello Fresh and Marley Spoon (Largest Home delivery services in Australia). • This role included the management of warehouse staff, assistant managers and drivers to ensure the prompt arrival of goods. Management includes, the rostering and employing of staff, managing payroll of staff, managing business accounts, organising work cover and insurance, whilst ensure profit margins were met. • Developing a procedure alongside the assistant manager to ensure the process of the arrival of goods and the sorting of goods into their allocated delivery van, took place swiftly, with no error. These procedures were required to be altered on a regular basis due to unexpected growth, and problem solving was essential aspect of the role where technical and staffing issues arose daily. • I was highly effective in this role, particularly in relation to managing money and resources of the business. I ensured the business retained profit, grew a steady employment base and reduced the staff turnover. • I also gained the ability to create effective procedures for unloading trucks, managed massive order growth and trained staff to ensure a long term employment opportunity and growth opportunities within the company. • When staff were away or sick it was my duty to either find a replacement or assist with heavy lifting and manual handling • This job required long and unsociable hours more than any other broadcast role I have held, with requiring me to be ready and willing to step in to any of the 8 roles at any moment over the course of a hectic 72 period were most of our deliveries and breakdown of stock happened ( Saturday 21:00 – Tuesday 21:00) Show less
