I first met Jerry a little over twenty years ago while regularly visiting the United States during my time with ICI Quarry Services (now Orica Explosives). Jerry was a very keen and attentive young graduate who was just beginning his corporate journey; however, as we evaluated numerous challenges together, discussed various options and finally drafted up a number of strategic business plans for executive approval, it was clearly evident that he was destined for an interesting and enjoyable career. The assessment was correct, and I’ve enjoyed following Jerry’s progression through his global business endeavours during these past two decades. Long may it continue since I have fond memories of our time together.
