I had the opportunity to be managed by Tom when we both worked for BlackBerry and we had a stellar evangelism team covering the Americas, we called it the DREAM team (Developer Relations - Evangelism Americas). Tom was a phenomenal manager, but mainly he is a phenomenal evangelist. He's an extremely fast learner and knows how to communicate (and engage!) with any kind of developer audience. Seeing Tom in action made me work harder to better perform as an evangelist. I'm sure any company would benefit from his excitement, focus, teaching and speaking skills.

Renaissance Man. That's Tom. Calm, cool under fire, centered. That's how Tom gets the job done! Tom is easy to work with, display's a school teachers patience in trying situations, and a facility for explanation the few individuals will ever possess. Tom is also a leader, and a friend to the people that he works with. Technically adept, he can command the respect of a room full of developers. Socially facile, he's equally comfortable networking in a room full of business managers. And if you have a chance to work with or for Tom, you'll discover that he's a fount of endlessly interesting topics on a wide variety of topics. His keen interest in learning, and the process of learning, makes him effective in many aspects of whatever job he takes on whether that be technical or business management, product evangelism, software development.

Originally founded as a consulting firm, Three Points created a variety of exciting projects for many high-profile accounts including Microsoft, Transplant Network Services, H.J. Heinz, Amerinet, Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Team and WQED. These projects included a range of services and technology including consulting, software architecture, development, design, e-commerce, Intranet applications and Internet security. Inspired to create Internet-based application software turned the company to product development and created MYSPN.COM and it's forerunner, Softball-Manager. Both products led the industry in Internet-based amateur sports software and became the original and premier high-tech applications available in this area. Through completely innovative technology, these applications were developed to automatically create secure, customizable web sites. Three Points was also featured in a case study for Harvard Business School. MySPN was endorsed and named the preferred provider by Sportsplex Operators and Developers Association (SODA). Tom's innovative technology solutions played a key role in the successful acquisition of Three Points by TechRx, a pharmaceutical software company, where Tom remained as CTO through its acquisition by NDCHealth.
