I've had the pleasure to mentor Nancy throughout her time at Northern Illinois University. We met through a Latino Mentorship program when she was a freshmen and I was a senior. I was fortunate enough to get a mentee like Nancy because not only did I provide advice from my experiences at NIU, but she taught me many things on organization, leadership, and determination. She always took action from the advice I would give her and always provided me feedback on how it could be improved. I’m happy to have witnessed Nancy accomplish her goals through the pressures of maintaining a high GPA and having leadership roles in her organizations.
