  During the three-day National Short Course Swimming Championships 2014 at the Royal Commonwealth Pool, Edinburgh, I worked as a camera operator and assistant: I was assigned to the poolside camera which captured the winners as they reached the end of the race, and also captured close-ups and reactions of the swimmers. I also provided assistance to the other operators, packed away and set up equipment, transported equipment around the venue, and provided assistance to the directors and producers when required.

  As part of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Host Broadcaster Training Initiative (HBTI) run by Creative Loop provided placements to Scottish University/College students at venues across Scotland during the games. I was selected to work for one week at Celtic Park, Glasgow, the venue of the opening ceremony: I worked alongside camera operators, riggers and equipment crews to set up cameras around the venue, including the Spidercam, the Panavision Towercam and others. My job was to transport equipment around the venue, rig and de-rig equipment, provide assistance to the camera operators on the day of the live event, pack away equipment quickly and carefully right after the event concluded, and various other small tasks.
