Jason brings an incredible passion and energy to his work. Not only does he harness innovative practices and community partnerships to support and inspire his students, Jason is a deep thinker and an eloquent advocate for systems level change to advance career education. He goes above and beyond to contribute to statewide initiatives and promising projects like Advance Vermont's online career and education resource hub, MyFutureVT. There are many things that make Jason stand out, but most notably for me is how driven he is to both support his students and use his voice and expertise for the benefit of a broader community of learners and career seekers.

Jason is a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator committed to equity and inclusion. I have worked with Jason to engage and inspire more women, girls and gender non-conforming students in technical education. He is dedicated and passionate about this work. Jason helped the Change the Story VT initiative to develop a training tool, Let’s Talk Harassment conversation cards, for students and teachers to learn about and engage in conversations about sexual harassment in the workplace. I co-presented to a group of educators with Jason using this training. He is organized and professional and comfortable in front of a group of young people, as well as his peers.
