Kollmorgen was an opportunity to experience manufacturing first hand. I operated with supply chain management to ensure critical tools and parts were available for customers. If a part or tool was not available for customers I had to contact suppliers to hasten delivery of these critical parts. I also assembled needed components for projects in a timely manner without supervision. Kollmorgen was an opportunity to experience manufacturing first hand. I proudly served over six years in the Marine Corps Reserve. I served in Iraq from 2006 to 2007 an a combat engineer supporting 3rd Battalion 4th Marines. The Marine Corps teaches Marines to take charge and be responsible of all aspects a task. As an NCO the primary objective is to train, set the example, and ensure that orders from the commanding officer are executed in a safe and timely manner. Some of my skills that I developed are the ability to adapt to challenging situations using effective decision making. Translated: "think on your feet while running." While serving, I was in various leadership positions from fire team leader, assistant squad leader, squad leader to a platoon guide. The Marines without a doubt was one of the best educations and experiences I have received.
