I was part of the Aresty Research group with a professor in the music department. We studied Elliott Carter's original manuscripts on the Library of Congress website in their online database. I had the responsibilities of printing out and organizing pages from his manuscripts so that we could see how he developed his pieces from basic counterpoint melodies to how they were finally published.
