  Dr. Shifa is a functional dentist and a pioneer in the field of Preventive Pediatric Dentistry. To many who are new to the concept, preventive dentistry is an advanced technique of dentistry with minimal intervention of dental treatment through the practice of simple oral exercises and dental equipment. Her belief to work from the root cause of ailment led her towards promoting extensive exclusive breastfeeding. it is through breastfeeding that the child's optimal development of the craniofacial component takes place and it is the first step towards preventive care. Today she is not just a certified but a recognized functional dentist, also one of the few tongue-tie specialists in India and among a handful few who work towards dental pediatric sleep. In a span of just 5 years, she has touched the lives of 5000 plus children globally, with a strong 12-member team. The practice which started as a small unit now stands strong and independent with international standard infrastructure, techniques, and technology. The forte of her dentistry, We Little, lie in promoting prevention and wellness in oral care rather than just focusing on a surgically invasive correction. The practice has effectively incorporated orofacial Myofunctional therapy to correct issues like crooked teeth and mouth breathing, releasing tongue ties and now also working towards resolving sleep disorders or sleep Apnea. To add to Dr. Shifa’s Accreditations she has finished her Mini-Residency in Pediatric Sleep at Tufts University (BOSTON) and has been active in treating hundreds of children with SDB (sleep-disordered breathing) and helped improve their sleep quality.
