Karlie is one of the biggest credits to fundraising I have ever had the joy of working with! A truly hard working, intelligent up-and-comer in the sector with a clear passion for inspiring others to get involved in fundraising. Any charity would be grateful to have her supporting their mission
Andy King
I wrote this nomination for Karlie as part of the UPSU Volunteer Awards, and would like to share it with potential employers: Karlie is the L2P Adventure Leader, was a keen helper in UGT recruitment, and is generally speaking an all-round good egg. Whilst Karlie isn't strictly speaking new to RAG this academic year, having been a participant in the Uganda Gorilla Trek last year, I would like to nominate her on the basis of personal development she has demonstrated. Over the past twelve months, Karlie has grown from strength to strength, and I think the Karlie Evans that signed up to the Uganda Gorilla Trek last year wouldn't even recognize the confident, independent and responsible young woman she has become now. Having worked alongside Breast Cancer Now and the leadership of Plymouth RAG, she has continuously pushed herself out of her comfort zone to achieve incredible results: both in recruiting an awesome team of volunteers (even convincing an SU staff member to join the team!) and in the facilitation of their fundraising. She listens to all advice given to her, makes the most of the resources she is offered, and is an exemplary member of the Plymouth RAG community. Outside of her leadership role with L2P, she has engaged in all areas of RAG life: attending events on a regular basis, throwing herself into the social aspects, assisting with the promotion of the Uganda Gorilla Trek, and much more. She's demonstrated the ability to be a team player and I can't imagine how much she'll be missed, having blossomed into the fundraiser she is in her final year at university.
