Acting as UN Representative for UNOG, I work on UN strategy and support, compiling and submitting information to mandate-holders including Special Rapporteurs, UN Treaty Bodies and state missions.Acting as official English-language spokesperson, I provided comment to the New York Times, Washington Post, Reuters, Foreign Policy, the Guardian, Vice News, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Agence France-Presse, and South China Morning Post, among others. I have written original pieces for the Guardian, the Independent, the Hong Kong Free Press and the Diplomat, and have appeared on BBC News World, Reuters TV, Al Jazeera, and Deutsche Welle.I supervised four members of full-time staff as well as part-time staff and volunteers working on aspects of the advocacy project.

Acting as the permanent UN representative for UN Office at Geneva as well as the liaison for European Parliamentary bodies in Brussels. In addition, my role includes the authoring of an annual comprehensive human rights report for the Uyghur population in Xinjiang, China, as well as official reports to UN Treaty Bodies and submissions to other mechanisms. I also maintain and build connections with relevant state representatives, NGOs and other stakeholders.
