Collaborated with a peer and students from the Hwa Chong Institution on a research project investigating a dual-triggered hydrogel system as a mechanism for cancer drug delivery. I got caught up on the basic chemistry knowledge required to understand the project and contributed to finding solutions for any problem that presented itself. Our team received High Distinction Awards after presenting our methods at the Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore. Subsequently did a project improving conductive thermoplastic filaments for use in fused deposition model (FDM) 3D printing. My plan was to manufacture several combinations of thermoplastic filaments extruded with carbon black, create various sizes of rectangles, and characterize the resistivity for each material. After some initial samples were produced, the project was halted as a result of the pandemic. Show less
