Working as a dj, for the last 12 years I finally found a home at the most incredible location. Working for a national company like Barbarella has been one of the highlights of my dj career. Their focus on inclusivity, safety and curating one of the best times in Austin, really resonated with me. Working with the staff has been such an honor as I have always been treated with respect and shown nothing but compassion. Djing is such an interesting job. There of course is the technical aspect of djing, understanding modern technology accompanied with the craft. But as well the ability to read a room and perceive peoples interest goes beyond just djing for me. It has been a lesson on empathy matched with a desire to give to people, if just for one song, an escape from their routine and in that moment when I would see people of all backgrounds come together to enjoy that is such a satisfying feeling. One that will never get old to me. Barbarella is a second home to me and Im grateful for the experience. Show less

I can honestly say that working in Applied Pressure has been one of the defining moments in my life. My team and I brought countless rare performances to Austin. We curated countless events and brought a true audio-visual experience to the capital city of Texas. Organized and curated events for National and International touring artists. Performed and created live visual media stage productions at venues like Alamo DraftHouse, ACL LIVE, Stubb’s, Empire Control Room. Produced media content for marketing purposes. Show less
