As the director of operations and fully mission qualified Pilot/Air Mission Commanders, myself and my team were responsible for full spectrum operations and training through out Central and South America. While in this role, I managed numerous multi-national events that included military training, humanitarian aid assistance, rescue operations, and advise/assist operations to the countries of Columbia, Panama, Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, and Guatemala. My team also lead the effort in disaster relief and rescue operations for the two CAT 5 hurricanes that devastated Central America. During this time we conducted over 50 rescue events via helicopter, delivered over 1.2 millions pounds of life saving humanitarian aid, and assisted those countries with aviation and advise/assist operations. Served as an associate professor and senior military instructor for the Army’s ROTC Program. My focus and goal was to positively influence and develop college students and future Army Officers. During my tenure at UM, myself and my team planned and executed two intra-University training exercises that incorporated US Military Aircraft and Civilian search and rescue capabilities to provide realistic training while teaching the process for managing these assets.
