Bio
Robert Minton-Taylor
Richard Bailey is a practitioner-academic who has a talent for relating public relations theory to practice with ease. He has an inestimable knowledge of the social media scene and always surprises in his thinking and his ability to give sound and sage advice. His ability to think strategically as well as on his feet is something that I truly admire. He's a great person to sound out ideas on. He will invariably come up with that 'je ne sais quoi' that adds the icing on the cake to an idea. He deservedly wins high praise from students for the way that he is able to put across ideas simply and clearly – shouldn’t all great communications be just that? But, I write this with some trepidation because, although I trained as a journalist, Richard will winkle out the slack in my sentence construction and grammar, but then he’s an excellent writer. In short, he’s simply an outstanding lecturer!
Kelly Campbell
"Richard was my professor when I studied European public affairs while I was a student in Bologna, Italy at the Johns Hopkins University campus in the summer of 2010. Richard is an engaging and highly knowledgeable communications strategist who led thought-provoking discussions and always gave helpful and valuable feedback. He has helped guide my career trajectory by helping me think through my goals and how to highlight my managerial skills. It would be wonderful if he would come to the States to teach other courses at Johns Hopkins!"
