Sunsave Solutions is on a mission to unlock potential through clean, constant, affordable, and localized off-grid solar electricity to the millions of people living without electricity in Africa and beyond. As founder and CEO, some of my remarkable achievements here are: - Responsible for overall strategy. In this regard, I oversaw the design and implementation of an innovative strategy for replacing kerosene lamps, candles, and diesel generators in low-income households with environmentally friendly and technologically superior solar electricity capable of impacting 19 million people. - Fundraising. Raise funds (primarily grants) through pitching competitions and networking wit relevant partners. Coordinate production and distribution of solar home systems. In this regard, I coordinated the production and distribution of 120 solar home systems, directly impacting 420 people. - Building and maintaining strategic partnerships. I build and maintained strategic partnerships with Chinese, American, and British partners to enable a continuous supply of subsidized solar home systems of exceptional quality. -Developed policy and research papers on behalf of Global Citizen for political audiences in the UK.-Advocacy focused on the UK government for the replenishment of international organizations, notably the twentieth replenishment of the World Bank's International Development Association (IDA20); The Gavi Vaccine Alliance; and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovations (CEPI). -Coordinated a cross-sector working group on vaccine sharing and equity with other UK NGOs, CSOs, and Government Departments, notably: UNICEF, Save the Children, One Campaign, and the Vaccine Task Force at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).-Championed Global Citizen UK country-specific advocacy on climate justice and vaccine equity to the Global South. -Contributed to GC advocacy strategy in the lead-up to Global Citizen Live (London/Paris); G20 Summit (Rome); and COP26 (Glasgow).
