Recently, I had the privilege of working with Sara on a project. She was organizing a series of workshops on antiracism and needed a facilitator. When Sara approached me about facilitating one of the workshops, the first thing that strikes me about Sara was that she was passionate, she cared deeply about racism. We all want to see a more equal society but often do little to make a difference Sara took practical steps to make a difference. In order to create awareness in the community, she wrote a proposal, applied for funding, and used the small grant she received to organize workshops. This shows her dedication. Throughout the time we worked together, Sara was calm and positive, despite dealing with many tasks, such as planning events, budgeting, bookkeeping, hiring, and documenting, but she maintained a stress-free attitude. I was inspired by her positive energy, and her willingness to help out others. Because of her attitude, her abilities, and most importantly, her willingness to help others, whatever she does in the future will be successful and I highly recommend her.
