Ramapriyan Iyengar
Talented is the phrase that comes to my mind when I think of Naveen. I've had the pleasure of knowing him almost since he started his career. I used to lead some of the projects that he worked on while at Telcordia. Naveen is great collaborator. I find that he pays a lot of attention to details and works very well across the teams to deliver the product. I've seen him grow from product developer to now leading a team and manage applications. Its is very good to see this transition for him to grow and succeed. Congratulations and all the very best!

Naveen joined our game prototype team and during a very stressful time in which we were preparing for a major tradeshow but were behind our target for stability. He also was involved in dogfooding and writing samples for our best SDK. He provided excellent feedback which helped us iterate on the next version of our SDK, and also made some very creative samples on his own direction, including a f16 simulator. When we asked him to help join the core dev team to help get us back on track he went above and beyond, staying in the trenches with us on some late nights and weekends even though he was a contractor. I told him we couldn't afford to pay him more than the agreed amount per week and he insisted to stay on and help the team on his own initiative because he really loved the product and wanted to solve the hard technical challenges we were facing. Naveen is an extremely hard worker who becomes obsessed with solving really hard problems, and succeeds in solving them by doing research on his own, collaborating across the team and running experiments in the best practices of software engineering and agile. I will forever be grateful for the help Naveen volunteered to our team during that rough time.
