I came across Anjelica when I was part of the IT college recruiting and on-boarding effort at Cisco. I was privileged to contribute to bringing Anjelica, direct from Michigan, into Cisco as a new college grad hire. It was a very grueling process that we use to find and interview candidates, and Anjelica was a stand out among that class. It was unanimous that she would be one of the few hires that year. She was immediately put into a difficult situation - one we try to avoid for new grad hires - where her hiring manager and the bulk of the team she joined were not co-located with her. Due to her perseverance, drive and determination, she made this work, and quite well, I might add. Anjelica was certainly one of the bright stars of that hiring class, and now that she has left Cisco and is pursuing an advanced degree, I hope to be able to follow her progress to see what new and great things she will undoubtedly accomplish next! Go Anjelica!!
