I joined New History to tackle the puzzles of existing and historic buildings, and to help lead a business that attends to them. With a great team of directors and consultants who are experts in historic buildings, building research, historic architecture and construction methods, and project leadership for complex projects, we are uniquely equipped to explore property re-use for building owners and developers. I bring a creative approach and broad experience from the engineering and construction side of the building industry, and am captivated by the challenges and variety presented by existing and historic buildings. The mission of New History since its inception, to increase the use and viability of existing and historic sites and structures, is one that resonates with me. My experience on projects largely in the Metro area has illustrated a need for consulting in this arena. With a curiosity to understand the existing buildings and their history, and applying a balance of creativity and pragmatism to help them take on new life, there is great opportunity to re-use our 'already-built' environment. We invite your 'old' building puzzles as a new challenge that will help us understand more and more of the buildings around us. Show less

An interesting adventure! I took a winter leave of absence to get in touch with the world of commercial masonry. I was a laborer for a masonry company and got some first-hand experience helping walls go up! I already have applied a few lessons to my masonry design, and am grateful for the chance Bunn gave me to try out the work-force-end of a commercial jobsite! An interesting adventure!
