Those files are then merged into Mastercam to be used as… Show more I use Autocad to create fitments so that my boss, the head engineer, can quickly calculate how much the flange needs to be cut by programing the proper cutting depth for the machine in seconds, rather than hours, which lowers the opportunity costs for the company, and improves his time efficiency by up to 12,000%. I use SolidWorks to create 3D wheel designs, by modifying old designs, or by creating new ones based off of pictures. Those files are then merged into Mastercam to be used as 3D models to create toolpaths. The knowledge of SolidWorks can be quickly transferred over to CATIA in under 2 weeks. With Mastercam, I create NC files, which are programs to be sent to the CNC machines. I’ve so far created over 200 programs, each of which cuts an order that averages around $4,000, and can be used again at any time, for a minimum of $800,000 in revenue, if each program was used only once. I mentor a new assistant to do my job. I’ve made manuals, created video demonstrations, and showed him how to use our company software: Autocad, Solidworks, Mastercam, and our proprietary online system.
