  I completed my thesis at the department of Functional Genomics (FGA), in the lab of Dr. Niels Cornelisse and under the supervision of Ph.D. student Torben van Voorst. I worked on the optimisation of hiPSC-derived GABAergic neuronal induction. On the resulting neurons I performed biochemical, morphological and electrophysiological analysis. I learned how to perform infant EEG, familiarised myself with ELAN, FieldTrip, Matlab, and GitHub, and improved my professional Dutch skills. I was introduced to fNIRS and audited a Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience course.
